I am running for the NC House of Representatives because I have a desire to serve everyone in Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville. I firmly believe in common-sense legislation and policies. Not only am I a small business owner right here in District 98, but I’m also an experienced public servant.
I served on the Cornelius Town Board from 2011-2014 and in the NC House of Representatives from 2015-2018. While serving in the NC House, I was the Deputy Majority Whip, Co-Chair of the Mecklenburg Legislative Delegation, and Chairman of the Regulatory Reform and State & Local Government Committees.
I married my high-school sweetheart, Shea, and we have been married for 19-years. We have four children: Jack (17), Molly (15), Sophie (13) & Macy (13.) We also have three furry children: Bob the cat, Maggie and Berkeley.
COMMON-SENSE ISSUES & POLICIES
Support public education through teacher pay increases, more teacher assistants, wi-fi accessibility, parent choice and safer schools
Support our law enforcement and give them resources for additional training
Own and operate two small businesses, that I started from the ground-up, right here in District 98 creating over 75-jobs in our community
Organized and moderated over 35 North Mecklenburg COVID-19 Briefing Calls intended to keep our area informed in real-time of the constantly changing health and safety issues
Remove burdensome regulations so small businesses can grow and prosper
Support lower taxes so more money is returned to hardworking individuals and to create new economic opportunities for everyone
Reduce the size of government and stop wasteful spending
Advocate for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities such as individuals with Down syndrome and Autism
Hold the NCDOT accountable for safer road and highway conditions
Protect animals from unsafe breeding conditions and animal cruelty
